I have a COMPAQ Presario CQ56 laptop. It used to connect to my home WiFi just fine until about 2 weeks ago. It cannot detect any network connections. The strange part is that my other laptop and my phone are both able to connect to the same network just fine. Any advice on what to do?

Pretty simple this one.
The wi-fi adapter of the laptop cannot keep up with the wi-fi signal being broadcast by the router.
Because the adapter is likely old.

If you have a router that can broadcast an N type signal at N-150 or N-300.

You will have to log into the router and go to the wi-fi settings of it.
You will see an option of what frequency`s you can broadcast for wireless connectivity to the router, for networking and internet access.

If set to N-300, try N-150 or 144Mbps settings in the router at 2.4ghz frequency.

Apply the new changes in the router then log out of the router.
Start up, or reset the compaq CQ56 laptop, let windows load and you should then see the name of your wireless network or SSID of it via the wireless adapter of the compaq Q56, and be able to connect to the network or internet connection via the wi-fi Ashveer.

??????? They are all backwards compatible! It also has a b/g/n card.
