Just wondering which one of these are really the best for the money. ASRock is obviously cheaper but I find more comments of how they're more unreliable than ASUS but their page overview of how they advertise their product says the opposite. Help? The Z170-A would not fit the color scheme for my PC but i'm just playing safe with ASUS unless someone can tell me if ASRock holds the same quality as the latter.

Expensive can be a relative term, I only build on the Rock, Asus and GB other brands I won't use for various reasons. Within the three I do build on I try to look at features, reliability, longevity, BIOS, etc. Based on that and more (thoughts on individual mobo models) I tend to give a slight nod to Asus for the BIOS and keeping it up to date. Maybe you had similar thought when selecting the Hero as I did ;)

the Asus z170-A will give you option for SLi in future should you desire that at some point, the ASRock K4 wont, other than that they are both solid boards and come with what you need
asus do tend to be a bit overpriced in terms of "what you get for the same money" in ASRock, gigabyte and MSI
but both are fine quality and nothing to worry about with ASRock

Gigabyte version of a similar boardhttps://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz170xgaming3, that like teh Asus 170-A supports sli should you want, but is cheaper, but still rock solid quality
personally i would choose this over teh Asus Z170-A, because you save a bit of money and get same functionaly(all you could ever need) + a bit more "fluff"
