I'm trying to put together a slave machine and I need to narrow down a decent CPU/MOBO combo.
This machine is a slave only to run virtual instruments on. It needs a gigabit port and ddr3 ram support would be nice because I have 48gb laying here.
I'm wanting to look at 2 options a single quad core and something like a Socket 771 where I could run 2 quads. AMD or Intel doesn't matter really for this purpose. No real budget in mind just as cheap as I can go and still get a machine that will do the job.
