I am on a very tight budget, i have no idea what to buy, so any suggestions are welcome. I will only be playing minecraft, league of legends, csgo, star wars battlefront, and maybe dota 2. Thanks, i plan on buying the pc in the next 2 months or so. As stated in title, budget is $350 before rebates.

I don't think anybody is under any illusions that's a $350 rig will be a world-beater, but you can just about put together a viable rig that will handle CS:GO, LoL, Minecraft. Battlefront you would have to tone right down. Low settings should be ok.

Sorry but that's not really a realistic price for a gaming PC. The only games that would probably be playable on a machine for that price would be League, minecraft, and maybe CS:GO. If you could get up to a $500 budget you could build a decent console equivalent PC that should play those games reasonably well for the price.

For $350, no windows, no optical drive.

You have 3 basic choices:

■You have all the peripherals (kb/m, monitor, etc), and are willing to pirate an OS. Then I would go with what others have recommended for a build. You can surf at your own leisure.
■You have nothing, only a few peripherals, or don't want to pirate an OS. You would be best off to buy a pre-made PC. I wouldn't recommend this for gaming
    ■Buy a console

At $350, your system will be outdated super quick, and not worth the investment since you will need to put in more money within the next 1.5-2 years (and that's being optimistic). My personal opinion is that you either save $600-$800 and get something decent for gaming, or buy a console.

Doesn't give you much storage, any upgrade path, an OS or a "great" PSU.....but at $340 I'd hope you expected that.

Remember, an OS through legit retail channels costs around 1/3 of your total budget....do with that what you will.
