Ok, So this may be difficult to explain, but i'm gonna try to anyway. I have a Seagate 500gb external hard drive that i bought roughly around april of last year from Ebay. for the past week, i've been having connection issues where the drive just wouldn't connect. Today, a piece from where the connecter cord attaches to the external fell out. I'll post pictures of what i mean at the end of this post. the piece wont go back in now either. No warrenty either, as i just checked to see if maybe i could use that. Any advice on where i can go to get it fixed, or what i should do about the data already on it?

Solution
That one is screwed but maybe you can get another external USB case/adapter and move HDD from this one in it. Open that box up and see if there's HDD with SATA connectors.
