When memory has faster speeds, you sometimes have to adjust the voltage and timings. By default they start at a nice safe setting to ensure the system can startup without issues.

If your board has XMP it can do it for you, but I recommend just setting it to see how it works.

If you look at the SPD tab you will see all the profiles on the memory.

Remember not all boards will support the top speeds.

This is just some temp ram the goes on ebay when my 16gb kit shows up. I was curious how it compared to my 4x4gb crucial balstix sport setup.

So I bumped the voltage to 1.55 xmp profile 1 - no diff. tried the msi "oc genie" no change, but it's the diff part # 8GBH2X04F1AA28-15 vs MD8GSD3186610AB, diff. timings plus reporting 1600 vs 1866, well if I bought this of ebay all these things would make me wonder wtf was up??
