I have a HP Pavilion P6774y, 6GB RAM, 2.9gh processor, with Radeon HD4200 graphics card. I would like to upgrade the video card because its not sufficient to support my architectural drawing program. Probably need 2GB card. Any suggestions?
nevermind, i looked it up. so, a 950 would be a great card, but, your power supply if kinda sketchy. this is what i would do. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HQdDLk

Hmm, maybe, look up what your onboard audio is, you may have to just pop open your case, see what motherboard it is, and tell me or look up specs. Btw, did you reinstall Windows, or just install it? Sometimes Windows doesn't like upgrades

I have got the sound back now. I had to change the default setting back. I guess the new card was over riding the speaker setting. Now the only issue is that I get the message that "Catalyst control center is not supported by the driver of graphics adapter, either update the ATI graphics driver or enable ATI graphics adapter." Not sure if I should worry about this or not?
