Weird problem with USB ports - Help PLEASE!

so for some reason, whenever im looking at the bios screen or controlling the boot manager thing on my computer, my mouse and keyboard work. however, whenever it loads into win 7 they suddenly stop working and no matter what i do, i cannot get them to work (i've tried everything online)

computer info:
intel i7 4790k
gtx 970 gaming 4g
msi z97 gaming 5 mobo
750w evga g2 gold rated power supply
16gb ddr3 2133 ram ripjaws x
windows 7

i dont think ull need any other info with that, if u do let me know

Wait I still kind of have that problem. I ended up getting a USB card. What did you do?

I didn't chose a USB card. Apparently my computer had a slight problem while downloading intel's usb drivers that were suggested by MSI Live Update, so i booted my computer using safe mode with networking, so the only drivers that were on the computer were the core ones. I from there went to find any drivers that I had installed personally. I deleted those and voila! If that isn't the problem, you can always boot into safe mode with networking, and from there go into your search bar and search "restore" which should come up with an option that says "restore windows to a previous period of time". If you remember when your computer started having these problems, choose the correct date and that should fix it good as new. If neither of those work, let me know. I can still help ya out probably.

Thanks, but I'm pretty sure it won't work. Pretty sure mine was a hardware problem, since I restored from a disk clone I had
made before I started having problems. Thanks anyway.
