My Win 7 crashed & tech repaired. Got all my files back. PROBLEM: Everything in the Administrator Account duplicates in all User Accounts --- newly created & existing User Accounts. All work added / saved in Administrator account adds/saves in All User Accounts. How do I stop Administrator account from duplicating in all User Accounts? Thanks

Solution
Sounds like this tech that did the work linked the accounts to the All Users folders. Find out from him exactly what he did when he did the work. He must have done some unorthodox copying of user accounts or registry edits.
Could you please give a specific example of what it's doing and why it's a problem for you?

You could activate the Administrator account and wipe out the latest files it created but I doubt the tech put anything in which would harm your account.

Go into c:\windows\system32 and right click cmd.exe and select RunAs Administrator. At the Command Prompt in the black form that shows up, type
net user Administrator /active:yes
then hit the Enter key.

I suspect a Windows Update may have caused this if it turned up when the account was active and open.

Thank You So Very Much For Your Response.
Sorry that I'm not explaining my issue very well --

I don't suspect my repair technician of putting anything harmful in my files.
Sorry I made my initial question sound like I suspected technician.
The repair tech is a great guy & has good reputation.

So, let me try at explaining again:

1). When I got my computer back from technician, I have 2 ACCOUNTS:
A). Administrator Account
B). User Account

2). Both Accounts are duplicates of eac other: All my work files that are in my Administrator Account are the exact same files in my User Account.

3). When I add work / files to my Administrator Account, the exact same work / file duplicates itself in the User Account & Visa-A-Versa.

4). If I DELETE a file / document from my Administrator account, the exact same replicated file / document / Work IS DELETED in the User Account & Visa-A-Versa.

5). If I create a New User Account, it's a duplicate of the Administrator Account with all the same files.

6). Before crash & As Always: I keep my Administrator Account clean & perform my work in a specific User Account but with my current duplication / replication issue --- All Accounts : Administrator & All newly created & the One older existing User Account are mirror images of each other & duplicate all addition & deletions that I perform in a Specific Account (Administrator and/or Users) --- does not matter which account I'm working in --- whatever I do in one account is replucated in the other accounts.

7). I feel I need to turn something off in the Administrator account in order to stop the duplucations but I don't know what it is I need to turn off.

So, because of the duplications, it is useless to have User Accounts. I cannot have a User Account that does not duplicate the existing Accounts -- and if I delete something in ANY account --- the deletion is performed in ALL accounts.

I hope I've explained OK. I deeply appreciate all help.

I think we need to know whether your duplicate is a User Account named Administrator or whether it belongs to the System Administrator. I cannot think of any way the duplications could happen so I'd like you to close the SysAdmin account.

Go to c:\windows\system32 and right click the file cmd.exe and select RunAs Administrator. At the Command Prompt in the black form that shows up, type
net user Administrator /active:no
then hit the Enter key.

After that, and a restart, do you still see two accounts?

That is really good thinking out of the box. I've never seen it happen but it would explain a lot. I'd love to know how he managed it.
