Hello, i have one HD7970 since 2012 and yesterday i was using my computer normally...
but when i turned on my computer today, i did not get any signal at monitor. The fans are working.
I tested one HD7770 i have and everything worked fine, and I tested the HD7970 in another computer and the fans worked, but no signal too...
I dont have any problems with temperature, the maximum recorded temperature was 63 degrees celcius.

I asked to one guy who was suposed to fix this problem and he told the problem is the GPU and need to swap from my video card, without looking... and i didnt liked this way of work. Swap the GPU is the most expensive job from him...

Then no signal means only GPU problem? May not be nothing more?

Hi,

"no signal means only GPU problem?"

No, that is incorrect. If that message is shown on the screen, it means exactly what it says: there is no graphic signal received to the monitor to be able to show.
That's it. All it means.

Now, what is the root cause of this? It could be the graphics card, graphics cable, connectors, the monitor itself from the input to the way the signals is transferred etc.

We should find a way here to try to isolate the problem, try to break it down so that we can find the root cause of this, ..ehh?
If I ask any stupid questions, don't feel bad, I'm only from Sweden :)

2. Do You have an internal graphics port on your computer?

3. Turn off the computer, wait 10 sec, disconnect the video cable in both ends complteley.
If You have another video cable that would be great, otherwise swap the two ends, so that the monitor connector now goes into the graphics card port and vice versa.

Make sure when you tighten the screws on the connector - only do a 1/2 turn each then next 1/2 turn, go back 1/2 turn etc. The reason is so that the connector is not skewed in position and therefor get a bad electrical connection.
Do it softly, one at a time and make sure the connector goes straight in position without any fuss.

After that You can start the computer and give some feedback, so we continue from there.

Best Regards from Sweden
Ps. I'm sorry for my poor grammar.
