I Have USB 2.0 Port In My Motherboard.
Can i Plug the USB 3.0 hub in 2.0 port and get usb 3.0 speed?
My Specs
Mobo - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2PT
AMD FX 4300
6 GB Ram
GT 640 2 GB
1 TB HDD
I Wanted To Use An External HDD As Internal. So Can i use 3.0 USB Hub In USB 2.0 Port Of My Mobo?

Solution
Hey there, The_Click.

Even though the drive might be withing the case, it will still not be used as an internal if it's connected via a USB connection, as internal drives use SATA. As for you questions, unfortunately, if you connect the USB 3.0 hub to a USB 2.0 port, the speed of the devices you've connected to the hub would still be limited to the speed of the USB 2.0 port. :(

Hope that helps.

Several years later, asking a whole different question regarding USB hubs....
Yes, your keyboard should work.

And don't dredge up old threads like this.
Thanks.
