Hey,

I am using a dual channel Kingston HyperX BEAST 8GB (2x4GB), DDR3, 1600MHz, CL9, 1.65V, XMP and I want to overclock them to at least 2133 Mhz, because I know that these memories can go up to 2400 Mhz (as I know, only if someone else says else)

CPU on my system is AMD A10 7870K. When I try to go to 1866, 2133 Mhz I got a BSOD and system enters in a loop restart.

Can anyone help me configuring the RAM into the BIOS to go up to 2133 without enter into BSOD? My MoBo is Asus A88XM-A.

Thanks in advance.

Raul

When you say CPU/NB did you mean both the CPU and NB to raise the voltage or just for the NB. I am a newbie in this stuff and dont wanna burn something under the hood. :)

Hello,

I was trying to do the overclocking but I get stuck into a problem, I cannot find for the moment the voltage of the NB, only the frequency who has ranges like this: 400, 800, 1100, 1200, 1300 ...... what should I do. Search into the deep BIOS menu for NB Voltage because it has to be there?

Thanks

I managed to go with the latency of the memory to 1866 and 2133 changing them to 10 10 10 27 and 11 11 11 30 without make any changes to NB Voltage (couldn't find it yet) and the results are like this:

1st Case - 10 10 10 27 @ 1866 Mhz - works fine without any problems (didn't see any stranges)

2nd Case - 11 11 11 30 @ 2133 Mhz - works but you got shorts freezes of the system (0.5 seconds every 5 seconds), this may be because I did not move the voltage of the NB?

My NB Voltage VID as AIDA 64 says its at 1.1250V and if I move the DRAM frequency @ 1866 Mhz the NB Voltage VID goes up to 1.1750V.

As a result i guess the NB Voltage is somewhere on AUTO? Would like to put it on manual settings. At this moment I still stay on default until we figure it somehow to manage the NB Voltage.

May I ask you to take a look at the manual of the MB because I stay with it in front of my face and I can't find the damn NB Voltage setting.

Below the link to the manual (Page 44):

Hi Tradesman1,

Sorry for 1 year of absence but I came back here and need to know for real and until the end of these memories if I can go further with them over the 1866 Mhz. I want to ask you if you can still help here before I start do some overclock to this kit.

Also I want to test the kit with a software after I overclock them to find the stability of this kit with it. Is there any software that can help me to do the tests?

Also I need to know where I can find the latencies for this kind of memories because I have another PC that has a HyperX Savage Red (2x4Gb) with a max of 2400 Mhz and now they work @ 1600 Mhz. Mobo = Asus A88X-PLUS

Thanks in advance and sorry for the 1 year missing from this post.

Kind regards,

Raul
