I am planning on building a desktop and I want to make sure that all of my parts are compatible. The computer is being built with the mindset that it will be focused more toward rendering and creating 3D models and 2D art. The budget is a $1000.

These are the parts that are being considered:

Solution
Buying that setup, is a waste of $1k. That Hard drive is too slow, FX is old, slow, and power hungry. You have the budget, for an i7, which would be a much better choice.

Solution
It's all compatible but:
MB is not for any overclocking but should be enough.
You don't need RAM faster than 1866 MHz since OC is out.
I would drop HDD to 3TB or even 2TB and with money saved on memory and HDD get an SSD, no serious computer should be without one nowadays. You can always ad another HDD later on.
Also plan on getting another drive for backups, no serious work should be done without proper backup.
See if you can get CPU with new Wraith cooler, new ones just started shipping with i and is much better than old ones.
