Hi Everyone! So I'm having trouble getting my ASRock Z170M Extreme4 to boot with memory in the "B" slots. Memory is on the QVL, GSkill F4-2400C15D-16GVR. I have two sets of the memory. All 4 sticks successfully POST and boot in the "A" slots but whenever you put anything in one or both "B" slots the system enters a constant reboot loop, no POST or ability to even enter BIOS.

In using only the "A" slots I'm able to POST and boot, but often the memory shows up underclocked @ 2133 instead of 2400. I've tried to load XMP which will successfully set the correct parameters, but upon reboot sometimes it ends up changing values again. Manually settings parameters ends up in the same behavior.

There is another post about this exact same board and problem which identified increasing VCCIO and VCCSA as a solution, but this didn't work for me. I've also reseated the processor twice and tried using less pressure on my cooler as others cited too much pressure on one part of the processor can cause this problem. No fix.

BIOS currently most recent version. I'm out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

UPDATE: After the poster below inquired about bent pins I took the cooler back up again and removed the processor to inspect the pins. Hard to believe for me but 2 pins on the very inside were bent down. With a magnifying glass and a needle I was able to massage both pins back up. After re-seating the processor (carefully...) and equally screwing down the cooler on all 4 corners I attempted to boot with all 4 memory sticks with success. All reading correctly with the XMP profile.

I've been building computers for nearly 15 years and I've never had a bent pin. Thanks again for the assistance :)
