File opens with wrong program automaticly

Hello

My dad did something but he can't recall what exactly.

Every .pdf file has a utorrent icon, by double clicking it automaticly tries to open with utorrent. Only way to open it is to select open with -> adobe reader.

Does anyone know how to fix this, any help would be appriciated

when you right click and select "open with", the pop-up has at the bottom "select default program" as an option. click that and then change it to the pdf viewer you wish to use. it may be in the list or you may have to navigate to it from the browse button.

this assumes any windows version other than win 10. in win 10 it is different and has to be changed through the settings app.
