Hello everyone and thanks in advance for any help.
i bought new ram, which is compatible with my motherboard, i'm running windows 10 64 bit on an msi gaming 7 mobo with a i7 4790k.previously i was using 12gb of mushkin enhanced, but i upgraded to 32gb of kingston hyperx fury. both had same clock speeds. the guy at NCIX recommended these and assured me they'd work so thats what i got.
Now, my bios and system recognize the ram. so thats all good. i can boot into windows so thats great.
but while in windows, i can't seem to properly load things. Explorer doesn't work and take a while to start up, task manager crashes, and the start button doesn't even work.
What am i doing wrong and how can i fix this?
Thanks, Gary.
