Intel Front Side Bus interchangeable?

Will a Intel CPU with a FSB of 1333MHz work in a motherboard that only supports a FSB of 800MHz?

Yes, but if the CPU runs at 800mhz FSB, it will only run at 60% clockspeed. E.G. Q9550 will run at 1.7ghz instead of 2.83ghz.

I don't see the e8xxx series on there anywhere. Oh, well. Since I already ordered it and it does have a 30 day refund policy I will wait and see if it works. I found another list that does have it as a supported cpu for that mobo here.

I mean for $13.50 you just can't beat it.
