I just built my first pc build and i was installing all the drivers for my gigabyte motherboard (GA-X170XP-SLI) and my sound hasn't been working for days. Please help my audio has not been working for the past 4 days. When i hover over the audio button on the taskbar it says that no speakers or headphones are connected, but I connected it to my monitors speaker.

Have you opened the Realtek HD Audio Manager and seen what it thinks the default output is?

The latest drivers on the Gigabyte site are still old, try running a program like Driver Booster and get the newer ones - may not fix this but might as well be up to date. The newest Realtek ALC1150 drivers are version 7746
You may need to run the Playing audio or Hardware & Devices troubleshooters

Man, I am really sorry to say but you may have faulty board....just replace it, because mainly audio works straight out of the box with windows 8/10 in newer boards such as yours.

Whenever I do that it just says that drivers could not be found and gives me error code 10. How do I open the Realtek HD Audio Manager?

I've already downloaded the audio file for the drivers, but when I use the files downloaded, which are realtek audio files, it says they could not find any drivers for it. Its a multimedia audio controller so im not sure if thats how you download the drivers though.
