I found this as a toms-hardware sponsored new-egg combo deal. It seems like a pretty good deal, and all the parts are pretty nice. I'm just questionable about whether or not it's a good idea to run an r9 390+ i5-6500 on a 550 watt psu. Thoughts? (On the items themselves + the PSU issue)

Considering that this a Toms-Hardware sponsored build, I can probably assume this will be fine, right?

cant say ? with combo deals sometimes you got to look at compatibility of all the parts to kinda see its not just something throwed together quick or to get rid of hard to sell / unpopular parts ?

just do your own best homework on all things in the deal and insure some silly issue don't haunt you latter ..

for me and just my thinking and opinion I cant see going less then a quality 750w on my primary rig ... , but that's just me

over kill cant hurt but underpowered does if and when you need it

Yeah I agree that with combo-deals there's often a part or two which are sub-par quality. However I happened to research these parts a bit and they are all top quality for their price.
