About a year ago, I bought a new premade PC. It came with a GT 740, AMD FX-6300, Stock cooler, and a GA-78LMT-USB3 Mobo. The RAM that it came with was two sticks of Patriot 8GB PC3 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM. The computer ran very slowly to open simple programs for its specs, and the browser often gave openGL and memory allocation errors. I thought the problem was with my RAM, so I purchased two sticks of Crucial Ballistix Sport 1600 MHz 8GB RAM and swapped it out with the stock Patriot memory. The same problems persisted, and I w as desparate, so I started randomly swapping and interchanging RAM. Finally, I ended up having a single stick of the Crucial Ballistix 8GB in the computer, and all my problems were solved. No more openGL errors, everything opening well and running smoothly. I want to know if I somehow managed to get three bad RAM sticks, if I have a bad RAM slot on my mobo (the explanation toward which I'm leaning) or some other issue. I run Windows 10 64 bit. ANy help diagnosing the issue or advice to fix so I can use 16GB of RAM would be greatly appreciated.
