This is the first graphics card I have installed into this computer(Windows Vista Home Premium) because I couldn't play the games I want. I put the card in ( a Radeon R5220) and put the driver installation DVD in. Everything is working smoothly until I get to the end the Installing Components section, in which it stops. It doesn't shut down or not respond. It just stops all progress with the overall progress bar full so you would thinks its done but it just stays on that screen. Through out the way though, I got error notices saying "Catalyst Failed to Initialize" but then it let me proceed anyways. The install manager is Version: 08.00.0916. Is the problem the disk and if so is there another way to install the drivers? Or is it the computer settings or compatibility etc.?

Solution
Try this,
First of all you need to TOTALLY remove all the old drivers. Use this link.
http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/
Note:
Select the respective company(i.e Nvidia or ATI) drivers to be uninstalled.
Use clean and restart option.
And then install the new drivers after rebooting.
