What the hell is going on here? I'm fairly sure this temperature isn't supposed to, well, be possible with this cooler without any sort of overclock. I've been running Prime95 for 10 minutes and it's stable at 65-70 degrees, but that still feels very hot.

Mind you this is the temperature I'm getting from Core Temp, and the temperature in AI Suite 3 is chilling at 56 degrees which seems more approporiate.

Conclusion - What's going on with my non-OC temperatures and why are the temperature readings from CoreTemp & AI Suite 3 so different?

Thanks in advance,
Alex

Solution
If you are using the latest version of Prime95 then them temps are to be expected.
The recommended version to use is 26.6, with this you should see lower temps.

Z97-a / USB 3.1 with, as mentioned, a Pure Rock cooler,
Fractal Design Core 3500 which is very well ventilated with a couple of case fans,
MSI GTX 970 & 16 gigs 1866mhz RAM. The PSU is getting pretty old now, it's a corsair something 650w.

Thanks for the information about the temp readings.
