I7 2600k still ok for gaming ?

I have a
i7 2600k oc 4.4ghz
Gtx 980 ti
12Gb vengence ram
620 antec power supply
I would like to play a lot of upcoming games ie Warhammer, doom etcon max will I benifit from a CPU upgrade or am I still ok.
Any help is much appreciated

Yes, good enough. Basically almost stock Haswell/Skylake, if you don't count K series.

Yeah, still outperforms pretty much everything at stock, let alone OCd.

I worry that it will come to release day of Warhammer and I will have to buy new m/b and CPU and ram lol but your answers have given me new found confidence in my old rig
