Intel is getting rid of pc gaming?

So i saw that Intel claims that the pc market is decreasing so they had to lay off 12.000 people and they said they want to focus on projects that have nothing to do with pcs does that mean that they will screw people who own cpu from intel? and also does that mean that intel wont produce any more cpus?

Yes they will keep making them, just spend less on them. The game companies aren't going to optimize for AMD either. Intel could stop at skylake and still have the lead in market share when computers (in their current form) cease to exist. Don't worry all your non computer friends and their tablet gaming will siphon all the money to tablet gaming and end of gaming within 10-15 years anyway.

As mentioned before what does that have to do if you already onw a CPU, not like there are software updates for it. If they stop making any new ones and AMD grows at same rate theyll catch up in like 2050. As mentioned above still dumping billions, just less of them
