Hi guys,
Since this is my first time asking for solution, please forgive my bad english or lack of knowledge

My PC contains the following parts:
CPU: Intel E2200 Socket 775 (very old one, i know)
Mainboard: Gigabyte P31-DS3L
PSU: Corsair Builder VS950 (my cousin upgrades his psu so he sold this to me for 10$)

2 days ago while using the power suddenly gone down, i tried to restart but it only run a few minute then the issue happens again.
I've tested a few thing and narrow down that it's either psu or mobo so i brought the psu to the store and asked them to check. Turn out the psu is fine (my cousin brought it in March/2016) so they tell me it could be the mobo's problem.
When testing again at home i found out that when plugging the 4-pin cable to power the CPU, my PC goes down after few minutes. If i don't then everything (cpu, fan, vga, psu's fan) runs smoothly even for hours.
What should i do to fix this issue? I'm very appreciated for any advice since i can't buy a new mobo (it has been 9 years)

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried borrowing a reliable, branded unit of similar wattage from your cousin/friend to try out the system works while all the connections are made? The 4 pin power is quintessential to deliver power to the CPU socket area. In hindsight, you should invest in a surge protector/battery backup to prevent your system from cutting out like that. You should also state the unit, there isn't much I can find with a Corsair Builder VS950 in Google.

If the system shuts down after a few seconds and prevents you from going into BIOS then the PSU cannot provide the necessary power to your board. You haven't stated your full system's spec since it looks like you have a dedicated GPU as well on your system.
