After installing the latest 364.72 gpu usage drops to 70-80% and from 99% and never goes back , usally it stays at 75%.
i clean installed the drivers and still the same thing happens
i even installed old drivers and clean installed windows 10 but the same thing happens
before installing 364.72 i used to play gta 5 at very high settings with advanced settings off with 60-65 fps now it just drops to 45 and stays there ,this happens in other games also (BO3,Dying light the following, etc)
is my card faulty or is something wrong with the drivers
specs: cpu; fx6300
gpu; gtx 960 4gb
ram 12gb ddr3 1600mhz
mobo gigabyte ga 78 lmt s2 rev 2.0

Have you tried using doing clean driver install using DDU? 364.96 is working fine for me. Also you could try this: in nvidia control panel instead of adaptive use maximum power instead in power management tab. Also if you have GFE installed uninstall the program.

There have been some issues with the 364 drivers beyond 364.00, but not sure if that may be your problem or not. http://wccftech.com/nvidia-users-beware-latest-drivers-damage-pc/

In my case, it was simply blue screen issues until I dropped back to 364.00.

Hi. Yes, thanks. Did all that. Also ran Bluescreenview and it highlighted ntoskrnl.exe and rasl2tp.sys as the offending items. One suggestion was memory errors, but i did a memtest run for a full pass on each stick and ran Win Mem test as well. No errors.
Today, I did another DDU run to remove drivers, removed the card itself (MSI GTX 980), ran CCleaner, and will operate off the iGPU for awhile to see if the crash still happens. I have a funny feeling it may be the card itself that is defective.

hey guys thanks for your suggestions
i solved my problem by updating the drivers to 364.96 as described by renz496 (it partly solved the problem)and removing the overclock on my cpu (the cpu was overheating and hence throttling itself causing low gpu usage and frame drops ) which fulluy resolved my issue anyway thanks guys
