Hello. A friend of mine recently did a fresh install of Win 7 64 bit. He has a Repotec adapter, which, when we download the drivers for from the site (from his phone tethered to the PC), It doesn't contain an install, just a .rar with .sys and .dll files. I have not stumbled upon such a thing yet and both of us have no ideas. The disk that comes with the adapter contains the same kind of files.

Did that as well, If I remember correctly, it recognized the device but it said it was turned off (or something along thise lines), I should have probably mentioned it in the OP.

You may not have selected the correct folder. You can also try right-clicking the .inf and then click install.

Double checked if it was the right folder and indeed it is. Right-clicking on the .inf file and clicking install but it gave an error that this INF file doesn't support this method of instalation.
