Hello, recently I have installed a new CPU and cooler onto my build. After trying to boot back up I got the "D6" error on my Dr. Debug. I have searched on here and of course on Google, but have no solutions. Below is all the things I have tried and my setup. Any other suggestions is greatly appreciated!

What I've tried:

  • Reinstall CPU
    Change the RAM slots
unplug and make sure everything is plugged in
moved my graphics card into different slots
Restart CMONS via taking out battery and jumper

My setup:

  • mobo: ASRock 990x Extreme 4
    CPU: AMD FX 8350
CPU cooler: Corsair Hyper evo 212
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7700
    Power: Corsair cx750m
    RAM: Ballistix 8Gb (4Gbx2) 240-pin DIMM DDR3

D6 error is "VGA could not be recognized".

I don't believe there is an HD 7700 - there's a 7700 series, but your card is likely 77XX (where "xx" is 30, 50, 70 or 90).

Did you do all of those options at the same time?

I'd suggest you remove your GPU fully. Reset the CMOS and then reinstall your GPU. Ensure all relevant power connectors are attached throughout.
