Hi, during an argument(Details unimportant) the side panel of my computer was kicked very hard. It was not off, but sleeping while this happened. After the argument cooled down I pressed the power button and a thud sound was made and the fans started to spin but then promptly stopped. I tried this a few more times and the same thing happened every time. Not giving up, I opened up my PC to look for visible signs of Trauma, there were none. The only exposed part to the side she kicked was the back of the motherboard, but it seemed ok. I unplugged and replugged a lot of cables, made sure everything was in right, and tried turning on my computer. This time the computer booted normally, and seemed to be fine. I'm currently scanning the hard drive with window's check for problems function. Should I be worried? I will update to see how the computer is running games and how the temperatures are.

Thank You so much

If computer was on u maybe get some hard drive errors, but nothing much to worry about if computer works fine. U should open case and plug in just electric cable and turn it on to see if all coolers work fine

Hi, everything has been working fine for the past few days but today when I tried to launch the computer from sleep mode nothing happened. I pressed the case's power button tot urn the pc on, and the fans started spinning and then stopped suddenly. I pressed the case button again, and this time the pc turned on, but was running EXTREMELY SLOWLY to the point where the mouse barely moved when i tired to move it. I again turned the pc off and on and this time everything seems to be running fine. To me this seems like the sign of a dying part. Any Idea what could be wrong?

If anything, its your CPU cooler. That issue sounds like your CPU bottlenecking itself so that way it doesn't overheat. Shouldn't be related to your PC getting kicked unless your cooler wire came loose/off the motherboard.

Thanks for the advice, so what should I do to keep my cpu cool?

Yes, I'm using the stock cooler. I just opened up my case and unplugged an replugged the fan cable, and then turned on the pc. All the fans were spinning and seemed to be working fine. So the obvious culprit must be that my cooler is not good enough. Is the stock cooler affecting my performance, or is it just causing these weird startup problems? before my case was kicked none of this was happening. Thanks for the input!

I'm not too experienced with the 4th Gen Intel series CPU's but I have a i5 6600k and it Idles at around 24 degrees Celsius with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. Run your CPU under stress and tell me what temp it gets to.

I played rocket league and the cpu temp stays at about 45-50 degrees Celsius, which is pretty hot I think. I will start looking into a better cooler, thanks for the help!
