(Sorry if this is too vague, I'm not very good with computers) When playing games or anything that takes a lot of power - my monitor loses signal and the screen goes black. I'm thinking its a internal issue or overheating issue. I tried cleaning the inside of my computer and getting some dust out and managing my cables and stuff like that but it seems to still be a issue. Also, the only way I can actually go on my computer again is by having to shut off the PC and turn it back on, all of my drivers and stuff like that is up to date so I am not sure what to do. If I leave my PC off for a long time and then try to run a game, it will take maybe 15-20 minutes before the monitor loses signal, but otherwise it loses signal in about 3-5 minutes. I even tried switching monitors but it did not work. Any help is appreciated- thanks.

Hi, thanks for the response. The fans turned on for about 5 seconds and then turned off again.

That's fine, thanks for your time - I did infact clean the RAM and I think it may be an issue with my power supply, that's what another person said. Thanks again!

The computer does not turn off - only the monitor. Also, I'm not sure what I'm doing, but I think this is what you are looking for?

hi there, so i have come across this problem and these are the fixes that i have found,
1- check if you have a good power supply, enough to power your whole rig.
2- check if you RAM is faulty.

this wasnt the case for, i used MSI afterburner to display my computers GPU and CPU load percentage. i tested this on batman arkham origins with a gtx 970 sc, this card is more than cable of running the game at max settings but it kept losing signal to the display. the problem was that i had v-sync off and anti-aliasing TXAA on high which showed that my GPU was 98% load while in the settings menu. i seen a drop from 98% to 56% once V-sync was turned on and i set my anti-aliasing to FXAA high. the game runs smooth now with the GPU load fluctuating at around 55 to 70%.

this worked for me , just thought i should share a potential fix for some of you.
