Hi, I was backing up c drive to B drive but noticed it was taking too much room. It took up like 200 gigs and was only half way there. So in the backup windows program it had a cancel backup button I canceled it and it did some cancellation for like 5 minutes and stopped which removed most of the backup but I was still missing about 75 gigabytes so it deleted like 125 when I canceled the windows program. I went to B Drive and there was a img named Michael-PC and a folder named windowsimagebackup. I deleted both, is that okay? I assumed it was because like I said when I clicked cancel it deleted the bigger majority and left me with the img and folder so it wouldn't matter because most of it was already gone. I started with 650 gbs before backup, half way I canceled at like 490 and got like 550 back then after deleting I was at the 650 before doing anything at all.

Does that sound safe?
Me deleting the folders and img is that okay?
And also since I canceled mid way through could any files be corrupt in my C drive?

Solution
1. You should never, ever use A or B drive letters for a Windows PC.
(we can go into why if you wish)

2. Yes, deleting it was OK

3. Don't use 'Windows Backup'. There are much better tools to do this.
