What is the MINIMUM Nvidia based GPU to run TWO monitors at the following resolutions:

1) 34" Ultrawide @ 3440 x 1440
2) 30" Standard @ 2560 x 1600

Scenario A:
General Windows 10 usage and web browsing. Would an old GTX 780 cut it?

Scenario B:
Supreme gaming on the 34" Ultrawide ONLY (ULTRA/MAX setting for AAA games). General Windows usage with 2 monitors active. Single or Dual GTX 980 Ti ?

Solution
My pair of 780tis will beat a single 980ti in firestrike by a good bit(approx 19000 to my 24000+). I have limititions, in some stuff, in how high I can set my settings. Most stuff is on some iteration of Ultra, but with whatever the programs recommend.
If you plan on more than 1 card, get liquid cooled, or go with reference coolers. Powerful cards put out lots of heat.

Depends on what sort of refresh you're shooting for. If you want anything over 60 or so, you'll need to sli at least 980s, but better would be 980tis. I've got a high refresh 1440 display(Overlord tempest) and dual 780tis, best I can get in furmark is roughly 80fps(no AA).

Dudmont: Would a SINGLE 980Ti do Ultra settings for the 3440x1440 monitor alone?

Also, haven't heard what I need to simply run these two monitors in Windows (non-gaming)?

As the others have said, you don't need much to just run the resolution, but if you have any ideas of gaming............
