Ive got THREE AMD A8-3800 series and ONE A6-3500 which needs a socket fm1 motherboard.

i visited all the PC shops here and said that socket fm1 boards are phased out.
i dont want these processors to go to waste so.....

question 1: Are socket fm1 boards really phased out?

question 2: Are there any alternative boards to fit with my processors?

or would my best course of action is to throw out these 4 processors that i have? T_T

A6-3500 is trash. You will only be able to create a streaming machine/ home server/ hoster PC out of it since the CPU is so weak.

A8-3800 is also really bad. None are gaming-grade and none are even suited for gaming.

If you just want them for regular Linux-based PCs (for example you can install Zorian), then go for it.

I have found eBay to be a good place to offload old CPUs, there are always people that need them cause theirs burned out or just died on them or whatever the reason. You might not get much from them, but between the three of them, you could maybe put that money towards a modern CPU and a current motherboard. Speedwise, you're almost always better off going with something new/newer. We like to remember things when we got them or when they came out they were the latest greatest, but with computers it just doesn't hold up, things change so fast that even a year or two can mean a world of difference in speed and efficiency.
