Crucial or G.SKILL

I am looking to buy a dual channel DDR3 kit (my motherboard has 2 dimms) for my pc, so I looked on Newegg and I came across 16GB of Crucial Ballistix Sport, and 16 GB of G.SKILL RIPJAWS X.

Which one should I buy?

I would go with the G.Skill kit, looks better, quality etc.

So here's the thing. All ram makers basically all go down to companies like Samsung or huyndai. As for budget oriented, the ballistix is much cheaper. If you want a little more performance over like 10 bucks, then gskill. Over quality is the exact same. Performance may maybe affected by lower latency with higher speeds, like gskill. But if budget get crucial.

Both are quality parts, have the same timings... go with the one you like the looks of really. Performance is going to be the same. The only real difference you'll get is if you have a CPU cooler that overhangs the RAM slots. The massive heatsink on the G.Skill will potentially get in the way, while the Crucial will fit most since it doesn't go above the PCB.

Of the two the Ripjaws X are the stronger sticks, more OC headroom. What mobo and CPU, want to be sure the CPU can handle the 8GB sticks and the 1600 data rate
