So I have this PC configuration:
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 2.2GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7470 OEM 1GB DDR3
RAM: 8GB DDR2 667MHz
MB: Dell ORF705
Case: Optiplex 755 DT
PSU: Dell 280w L280P-01

I wonder because my hard drive is from 2006 (320GB Seagate) ,should I place an SSD and install Windows on it or should I Change it for a 1TB WD Blue brand new HDD. My concern about the SSD is that there is heating issues with the OEM case so I'm just wondering is it worth the actual fuss?

Then I would recommend getting the 1 TB HDD. That way, you will have a whole lot of space to work with. I am using a 2 TB HDD from Seagate that is also 7200 RPM, and it's working great even for my games.

P.S. I am using a Dell OptiPlex 755 SFF.

I feel your first priority would be to insure you have a backup of the current pc. Once the OS & data are safe then you can get whichever you want. You apparently dont need alot of space or you would have upgraded the 320 by now so perhaps a 240-250mb SSD would do you good and not waste 700mb's of space. :)

Like QuackDuck im also using a 2TB HDD at 7.2k rpm, with an old CPU like the Pentium D you wouldn't see a HUGE difference, before investing in an SSD invest in a Core 2 Duo/Quad
