PSU getting burnt out by GPU?

I built my pc a little under a year ago and wanted to go with really high quality products. I think I shot my self in the foot more or less because I'm on the third PSU, and I'm pretty sure this one has fried on me too. They all do the same thing, which is how I know it's the psu, but what I don't get is how I keep burning out psu's? Like I said, this is my third psu, the first being a 750 watt, the second was 850 watt, the latest is 1200 watt. My gpu likes to sit around 78 celcius when I'm mid-game and I feel like that's part of the problem, but I keep reading that around 80 celcius is normal. Please help!
My build is:
AMD-FX 9590 cpu
EvGa Titan X 12gb gpu
LEPA G1200 1200watt psu
16gb ram
Windows 7 (64bit)

Can anyone help me? Should I just replace the gpu with a 980ti Hybrid? Do I need more ram? Is my cpu a lemon? :'(

Brand does matter: some model numbers may be similar or even identical between two brands and be two completely different things. For example, a Corsair VS (tier four, non-80+) is a completely different critter from a CoolerMaster VS (tier two, 80+ Gold) PSU.

I went to geek squad when the problem originally occured. I only used them to diagnose it, as it was fairly easy to tell that the psu was the issue since it started making odd electric noises. The kind you hear from a taser kind of.

The previous units were a cooler master (750) and then a corsair (850).

What were the models of those units? Brand don't matter, model does.

Also, how long did it take each unit to fail?

Was it causing actual problems or no? Such as freezes, random shut downs, other instabilities? PSUs can make noises, coil whine, and be fine. Oh, and the Geek Squad is a joke of a company. Don't take anything to them.

Well that's why I'm here now. They've been completely useless other than their equipment. I don't know what the other two were other than the brand anymore. This last unit took about 8 months before my pc started crashing. That's the whole issue with them. I understand that psu's normally make noise, but this weird taser noise is something that all three have done while consistently my pc crashes while the psu continues making that obnoxious taser noise.

Basically what happens though is I get a black screen and the pc completely just shits down. I can restart it like normal, it just lets me know that it crashes and asks me the normal boot options after a crash.

The first 2 units were under AMD's recommendation of 1000w when running that cpu, I know it seems ridiculously high but it's what they recommend. The Lepa G series I think are fairly low quality too so even though it's rated at 1200w quality is just as important.

Your temps for GPU seem normal. What motherboard do you have? Very few support the FX9xxx series properly. It's not the GPU you need to worry about, it's a setup that will support that cpu

GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P I believe.

So you think it might be my cpu/motherboard combo that's the issue? Would that explain why my psu's keep failing? What should I get instead?

So I just tried turning it on again just to look at what's going on with it and now it won't even start up. Like, the power starts to go and then completely stops. I'm pretty sure it's these psus. What should I get that will adequately run this machine, and not fry itself from heat?

You know what I mean InvalidError. When I say "model" I mean brand + model rather than just brand. Brand does not matter when knowing the PSU's exact quality, but model does. Part of the model is the brand, in a sense.

That mobo is only rated for 125W CPUs, and the 9590 is 220W. I don't know if that's what's causing your problem, but it probably isn't helping.
