I recently shipped my computer (I took hdd graphics card and ram with me) and when i put it together i turned it on and it was on for like 10 mins then it randomly turned off i figured i was holding the powerbutton down because i was plugging stuff in so i turned it back on and it did the same thing, it doesnt shut down it just turns off. So i went to my bios and checked my cpu temp and it said it was at 40 C and then it turned off in bios aswell, no it wont stay on long enough to boot (i tried to see if there was a error code on my motherboard before it tuned off and there wasnt)

I have a feeling its the power supply but i wanted a second opinion before i spent a lot of money

I can offer any temperature reading because it wont start

Computer components

-corsair h100i liquid cooling
-sapphire 290x gpu
-corsair vengence ram
-AMD cpu 3.5 idk exact one
-asus crosshair v formula z
-thermaltake smart m serries 750w bronze psu

This definitely sounds like its the power supply; considering it does with and without the OS being booted. However, you also said you took the RAM with you. I would take all the RAM modules out and reseat them and see if that helps. If not, it might be worth while to order a test PSU and troubleshoot with that.

So I waited a couple hours before turning it on again and i took out a stick of ram like you said and kt hasnt turned off in the past 10 mins or so but i dont know if its because i didnt turn it on for a while or if its the ram

Edit:
I ran it through a bench marking software to make sure it wasnt a heating or power problem (id assume thatd shut it off imediately if it didnt have enough power or something) and it went through the entire thing. So i turned it off and put the other stick of ram in aswell and it seems to be working . Im gunna leave it on for a while to see if it turns off again

Edit edit

So it turned off again so i took the slot of ram out and moved it to a different slot, used to have them in matching colored ram slots because its supposed to be better so i put it in different colored ones and its working now. I dont know if its because that specific slot is broken or if its because my MB is having a hard time with pairing the ram
