Hi, my computer wont shut down after I shut it down. Ill elaborate.
Heres a good one for you.
Before you ask,
- windows 10 pro
When i am done using my computer for the day, I shut it down via the start menu. The monitor shows the shutting down splash screen, and then appears as if it was shut down. But after that, the tower keeps buzzing and humming, with lights and fans still on, a whole day after i have pressed shut down. (I wanted to see how long it stayed on, thought it was an update issue) the tower was still humming. I have to manually hold down the power button on the computer case in order for it to truly shut down.
At first, I thought it was a RAM issue, so I grabbed a spare kit lying around, that I KNOW works, but the same thing happens after shutting down.
I have a 240gb ssd as a boot drive with a terabyte as mass storage. Both have plenty of space free.
If you want I can reply with a full spec sheet of what i have.
Does anyone have any idea of what is going on, whether it is software and/or hardware related, and how i can prevent it?
