A brand new computer, I just built, with an MSI AMD 970A Gaming MOB, an MSI R390-390 8 Gig
video card, 16 Gigs of Corsair Vengenance DDR3 Gaming memory, an EVGA 750 Watt PSU 2B Bronze, 2 TB Seagate Hybrid Hard Drive, AMD Black Edition 8370 with the Wraith CPU Cooler, and 3 Cooler master fans, 2 @ 1400 MM and 1 @ 200 MM all incased in a Cooler Master HAF 912 case. I wind up getting a "System Error Memory Error" Blue Screen of Death? Oh and I am running Windows 10 Home also.

How can this happen and how do I fix it?

Thanks so much for any help with this.

Johnny

Hello... The Reset/clear will put the BIO's into a "memory search and set" step during the next BOOT up... otherwise it will be expecting/using the same Ram, settings, and slots. And will use previous stored settings, even though they could be "Bad (Wrong?)" or NOT optimal.
2) Sometimes you just need too clean and OR re-insert the Ram again... there are a lot small electrical connections there. B )

Ok, I checked and the MSI 970 Gaming MOBO supports both the processor & memory that I chose to install, which is the 8370 that comes with the Wraith cooler, which by the way is keeping my CPU cooled to a very nice temperature. The MOBO actually runs a few degrees hotter than the CPU, at rest or under a strain. I have gone back and verified all my parts, just to be sure and all are compatible.
thanks

Can that not be done by simply going into the bios and setting it up? Or is removing the little watch battery the only way to do that. Reason being, I am not that literate with a computer but learning fast.
thanks.
