I bought used PC for a friend and I need another pci-e cable to add another graphics card. The build only had one.

It is a Antec High Current Gamer 850W power supply,
This PSU side of the connector has a keying that I can't find. I had a few extra laying around but none worked and I can't find any anywhere.

Picture of keying: http://

Anyone know where I could find one?

The other end needs to be atleast 8pin.

I don't know of anywhere you could find a pin by itself, but if you can't find one from anywhere such as Ebay, etc, you could get a SATA/Molex to 8-Pin adapter like this from Amazon. Just be aware of who you order it from, and make sure they have a high rating and positive feedback. Unless you can find the pin on Ebay or a similar site, this could be an option.

You might use search terms such as PCIe Pin or PSU Pin to find what you're looking for. But from what it sounds like, maybe the internal wire got messed up somehow, so even if you got another pin, it might not work, in which case, an adapter like I linked above, could possibly work for you.

I am looking for another PCIE cable in it's entirety. Not just the connection part. They keying of the cable is what I cannot find. The PCI-E cables I have laying around don't have the same shape connector as this Antec one because they are keyed differently,

With the adapter, I have the same story, all my extra sata cables don't fit this particular powersupply.

Could I use the sata cable that is already providing power to the optical drive?

Oh! My apologies, I just realized your PSU is modular, and you need another PCIe 8 pin cable, am I correct?

If I am, maybe this will work. The end looks the same, except yours looks like it's missing one of the gold rings inside.

If that doesn't work, the SATA to 8 pin could work for the GPU, as it takes two SATA connections and converts it to 8 pin so you can connect it to the GPU.

If I'm misunderstanding, please let me know.

You are correct that I need a new PCIE cable, although I don't believe that is the correct keying in the linked one above.
This is a drawing I made in paint to better illustrate the keying for you. http://
The tab that locks it in is on the side with the two full squares. and yes, the gold ring is no there in the one port.

Thanks for the illustration.

Hmm, your cable looks more like a EPS-12V instead of an 8-pin, more than that, it looks like it might be proprietary. Is the picture and the diagram you drew of the connection that goes into the PSU itself? How is the other end keyed as well, could you take a picture? Also, can you take a picture of the connection on the PSU where the cable goes?

Here's my source:

EDIT:
This may be bad news, if you refer to this thread, in the second post, ignoranceabound states the following:

The only real modular cables are from Ultra; the other "modular" PSUs use their own proprietary cables that are usually specific for that PSU or brand.

Did you buy the PSU separate or did it come with the build? Do you know if it's still under warranty? You might be able to contact Antec directly to get another cable. And if you can't/don't want to do that, you could try the adapter I mentioned as a workaround instead of having to get another PSU.

The following statement from this forum further indicates that the cable is proprietary.

Unfortunately, all modular cables for our units are proprietary to the unit they are made for. Due to differing amperage and pin orientation on each model, cables from a different model will not work.

If it is proprietary, your options are the following:

• You could possibly contact Antec to see if they can get you a replacement cable.

• Try finding the cable on Ebay or similar. (I can help you search.)

• You can try the adapter I linked, a local computer shop may have the same cable if you want to look.

• You can get another PSU.

Other than that, I'm pretty much out of ideas.
