Hello everyone,

Here's my situation- I have two hard drives, and windows 7 is installed in one of it(say 1). I decided to install windows 7 on the other hard drive(say 2) too. When I was doing a clean install, while making partitions, I accidentally deleted "system reserved" partition of 1. Then I deleted it leaving 100mb unallocated space. Now, My system is running on 2(just installed), and I cannot boot into the 1st operating system, neither can I use safe mode nor recovery mode because every time I start my pc, I end up running Operating system installed on 2.

I would like to know if there is a way to create "System Reserved" partion of that 100mb unallocated space, and to use it to boot into my 1st operating system.

I was just reading this post- http://www.digitalcitizen.life/command-prompt-fix-issues-your-boot-records , and I think it might help me, but I am not sure if this method suits my situation.
Right now, I am running "testdisk" in deep scan mode( probably leave it running the whole night). This software claims to recover lost partitions, etc. Let's see if it can recover anything.

Thank you very much
Sincerely,
Harshveer

You can create a new B partition, appropriately sized and run system repair. It worked one time for one machine here. If not, a reinstall, one way or another may be necessary.

Testdisk didn't do any good as it couldn't find the partition I wanted to recover. Using windows disk, I started system repair, It found problems and tried to repair it. Luckily, It added an option to boot the windows for which I had deleted "system reserved" partition. But, now it isn't how I wanted it because I still have that 100mb unallocated space. Now both my operating systems seem to operate using single "system reserved" partion, and if the hard drive storing that partion fails, I will not have access to any of my operating systems which ruins my whole point of installing a second operating system on second hard drive.

I want to assign that 100mb unallocated space as "system reserver" partition for the operating system which is installed in this same hard drive. Any ideas? or I might have to do a clean install to do this job the way i want.

Thank you TbsToy, now, I can at least boot into my windows.
