Yo,

Guys, you know a rig costs a lot of money, and I am extremely worried, I might mess up my processor because I read they bend... I can only read they bend and last news was around december I havn't read anything new, like 'Intel fixed the problem' or '3d party cooler guys got a solution.'

The nocta cooling block is quite heavy and I am worried. What should I do? Get another cooler? Or is it safe? I really don't want no bended cpu.

You use skylake as well with a beast? Well thanks a lot I feel kinda better now I really was worried. :D I will build it when the packages come and have fun.

Thanks a lot man.

The bending issue was mainly a report from one review site where they admitted to using a power screwdriver to install the cooler. The pcb is a bit thinner, skylakes aren't being made differently now and with hundreds (maybe thousands by now) using various skylake cpu's they're just fine. That leads me to think user error rather than legitimate issue. Anything will break if you're clumsy with it. There aren't any known 'issues' with the 980ti or r9 fury either in terms of fitment, but grab it and lean on it with your upper body and I have a feeling the pcie slot may break.

Quite a few people successfully using larger coolers with skylake without issue as well. It helps to be careful transporting a built pc to say lan parties or moving from one residence to another but that's always been true. Same goes for the gpu since it all but hangs from the pcie slot on the motherboard with only a couple screws (assuming dual height card) at the rear of the case. You should be fine with a little care.
