Im trying to switch my OS from a HDD to SSD!

Hey I'm having trouble switching from a HDD to SSD, i transfers all the OS files and created the partitions correctly on the SSD but am having trouble actually getting the computer to launch windows off the SSD. I set the SSD at the primary boot option in the bios but boots off the HDD anyways, I also tried to unplug the HDD and it just wouldn't launch windows.

Sounds like you "copied" files if you don't recall what software you used to clone. Another guess is that you don't have the O/S installation media, which is why you copied the files to begin with. I'm also going to guess you had your new SSD set up as a non-boot disk when you copied your files. I think the old DOS command to make a disk bootable is "sys <destination drive>" or something like "sys d:" where it will copy the files needed for the boot partition and make the disk bootable. You could humor us and try that...

Not related to your question... I'm not sure you'll escape re-licensing. I think MS allows 1-2 major hardware replacements before requiring a new license, and I don't recall if a H/D is part of that list.
