hi ,

I have a 6700k and it runs idle : 40°C and stressed ( did the test 1h) 83-86°C
I have a cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 412S
Its on the normal settings but i mounted the fan not to the ram side. Cause it hit my 32gb Gskill.
So its blowing out of the back of the case. That direction.
Could this be the higher cpu temps ?

How many case fans do u recommend ?

I realy wanted to mount my TS13X intel watercooling on it. But it doesnt fit :-(

Solution
That is way to hot. It might be because the fan is being used in PULL configuration instead of PUSH. Try putting the fan on the other side so it pushes air thru the heat sink. You can slide the fan up on the grooves it mounts in to clear tall RAM.

And check that the cooler's mounting is correct. It can be tricky to get right the first time you do it. Be sure the 4 screws are all the way in and bottomed out and that the X-bracket is not upside down.

It may be a bit high, but it all depends on the stress test that you used. As an example, if it only reaches 86°C on the latest version of Prime95 Small FFTs, then you have nothing to worry about.

Thanks , i used a hydro 110 and now its idle 25°C.
The cooler had the issue that i misdid the cooling paste.
But seeing i got my money back off the intel TS13X that didnt fit . I could swap it for the corsair :)

Thanks for the replys , its verry kind of you guys.
