No way to check GPU core voltage

I recently bought R9 380x ASUS STRIX and there isn't a software that can show the core voltage. GPU-Z doesn't show it at all, MSI Afterburner has the core voltage field grayed out, Real Temp says the core voltage is 0V and Sapphire Trixx says N/A about the core voltage.

The only software that showed the core voltage of the GPU is ASUS Tweak which led to games crashing and BSOD, so I had to delete it.

Without ASUS Tweak I ran few benchmarks (valley, passmark) and some games and everything is fine and as it should be. The FPS and scores are what you would expect of R9 380x. However, not seeing the core voltage of the GPU really bugs me. Is it a faulty GPU, or something to do with softwares/drivers?

Sounds likely.

Like I said, it doesn't work at all on my GPU (that i know is locked) in the same way. In my case I was under the impression my GPU was unlocked, so I got bent out of shape over it being greyed out in every...

I have 2 GPUs in crossfire, 1 is locked and 1 is not. I can see the voltage on the unlocked but not the locked. I see the same as you in MSI afterburner that it is greyed out.

I think the ASUS Tweak BSOD issue is unrelated to the voltage, its probably just a bad program.

Alright, thanks for the info. I send the GPU to my brother now to test it, I'll see if he has the same issue.

The same issue occurred on another PC, so it seems like the voltage is locked.

Even if the voltage is locked?

I also remembered now that Asus Tweak was acting weird when manually changing the core voltage on it. Whenever I used the slider to move the mV up or down, it just didn't properly set those settings, it was like acting on its own. Perhaps the GPU being voltage locked combined with Asus Tweak trying to set another voltage caused the BSODs.

Like I said, it doesn't work at all on my GPU (that i know is locked) in the same way. In my case I was under the impression my GPU was unlocked, so I got bent out of shape over it being greyed out in every application. I later confirmed it was supposed to be like that (and it pissed me off at XFX because the damn box says "unlocked voltage", but thats another story).
