What i have so far to work with is a ASUS P8H67-MLE holding an i3-2100 with 8GB of ram using a nvidia geforce 210 1g dedicated ram. Cooler Master HAF 922 case and 650W power supply. what i would like to do if possible is upgrade the rig to play Fallout 4 and Far Cry Primal. It would be appreciated if anyone could help me out in achieving this if possible.

Things i dont need in the build:
Operating system
Hard Drive
CD/DVD disk

I reckon you don't need a monitor also? Based on that I would advice something like this:

Based on where you're coming from, I didn't add in OC capability. While you can OC a little on an H81 motherboard, they aren't great for it. So I used the standard non-OC 4460 vs the $70 or so premium of the 4690k and $60+ addition for the Z97 series motherboard which are built for it.

You can also go with a skylake build of the same non-OC level, about $50 more than what I proposed, and with 2X the RAM.

Honestly, that's actually a much better build for the price. I didn't realize how cheap DDR4 is right now.

- I5 skylake for excellent gaming performance
- 8gb DDR4, more than enough for gaming
- R9 290 GPU for playing all games highest settings at 1080p
- excellent (gold rated) PSU, since your old PSU maybe will not suffice
