Found a way to solve the low volume on Asus Xonar U5 low volume. After installing and uninstalling the software that comes with the external sound card. In my case disabling Sonic Studio and installing "HEAR", a sound equiliser software that comes with plenty of options to play around to get the best out of your soundcard. Hope this helps others as it solved all of my problems.

Thank you ASUSCustomerLoyalty, I´m an Asus fan and found that some other people where having the same problems, Although the software that comes with the Xonar U5 external sound card isnt bad, in my case it wasnt meeting my full sound requirements and using an alternative software such as "HEAR" really got the most out of the souncard due to all the things and options it has to fiddle about and enjoy the full posibilities of the Xonar U5. Happy to know this might help others too.
