Not really sure where to post this, but I figured I'd try here. I'm trying to figure out whether or not I should by COUGAR or NOCTUA fans. I have the links below here:

These will be on Radiators. I am a silence freak, so quiet is a huge plus. So here's what I'm thinking of so far:
Cougar:
Advantages - Cheaper, Looks Better, Seems to be quieter?

Noctua:
Advantages - I've heard they're the best fans? Might push more air?

As you can probably tell, I don't know much about fans. Anyway any help would be appreciated. Looks are always a huge plus, as well as silence, but if the Noctuas are significantly better then I will get those.

Get cougar. Just the noctuas are better quality PREMIUM fans. As Luke from LTT did a video, premium fans are not really worth it. Going with cougar will save money, be quiet, and move just as much air. Going with noctuas will give unnoticeable performance increase, but you have good quality, but it's WAAYYY more expensive.nwhen you say noctuas are quieter, it is possible with their low noise adapter, but it will moe less air. The difference is MINIMAL. There's my evaluation. Cougar would be my choice. I'm not a fan of paying extra for premium fans. No pun intended.

First of all you are comparing a 3 pin Cougar fixed speed fan (unless you can use voltage to vary the speed) and a 4 pin Noctua PWM fan. If silence is important you have to go for a PWM fan so it can reduce its RPM when the system is idle if your motherboard supports it.

So currently I think the Cougars are about $5 cheaper. Is PWM a feature worth paying $5 for? Also the shit brown color (huge negative IMO)? I think Cougars are what I'll buy, but how do they compare to says Corsair SP120s?

The Corsair SP120 can spin at a much higher RPM so it has a higher static pressure which is what you want to blow air through a radiator, however, it is much louder.

The Cougar fan spins at a fixed speed which is lower and has a lower static pressure, it may be enough to cool your system, it depends how hard you push it.

The Noctua fan has similar specs to the Cougar at 1200 RPM but because it is PWM it means if you connect it to a 4 pin PWM fan header on your motherboard it can lower the RPM down when it doesn't need to cool the CPU.

Your radiator must have come with fans, you need to find out what they are and compare the tech specs to the new fans. If the static pressure and airflow is worse then they may be quieter and look better but your CPU temp will go up.
