Wanting to upgrade current motherboard

My computer has been cutting off unexpectedly lately and from what I have read on here the motherboard is a very common culprit so I am considering an upgrade and was curious what you guys would recommend.

My current setup
Motherboard-- Gigabyte ga-78lmt-s2p
processor--Amd Fx(tm)-6100 six core 3.30ghz
power supply-- Ante neo eco 520watt
vid card-- NVidia GeForce gt620
memory 8 gb
64 bit
windows 7
2 hardrives with 2 Tb each

Thanks and what other upgrades do you recommend

Anything with 990 chipset if you want to go to higher end FX processor. Some MB with 970 chipset if you are not going to upgrade processor. Can't tell you much more because it depends on money you want to spend and features you need. Also look for SATA3 and USB3 boards. Both features are handy to have. SATA3 (6GB/s) for SSD and USB3 for faster file transfer from external storage devices.
