As i have stated in title, i couldnt install any windows.
Tried 3-5 iso's of windows xp,7,8.1,10 but all have same issues.
The hard disk is first getting detected in bios then after that error when i restart pc its not getting detected. But the hdd is fine, wheel is spinning, PCB seems fine.
I looked for solutions throughout this website and others, but none helped me.
So what i have tried is :
- Tried my friends hdd on my pc and it works fine.
- Tried my HDD onto my friends pc which gave the same error
- Tried finding drivers for my hdd, which is not available anywhere, MB : DG31PR
- Tried different slots of sata

So what does this mean ? I have to replace my HDD, if so, is there anyway to recover data from the HDD ???

wheel is spinning doesnt mean hdd is fine...it might be mechanically running but its integrity cud be damaged...
now to d damage control part...
if ur frnds hdd is running thn ur pc is fine...
to recover data, u need to first get it detected on ur frnds pc, or any pc with a running windows...
connect it to ur frnds pc, not as an installation drive, but as a normal drive and see if its detected...

You mean boot from friends pc with his HDD, and secondary HDD as mines, But the issue is my friend's pc doesnt support two internal hard drives. So should i take to a local computer shop and check for it ?
